BASIN MODELING, THERMAL HISTORY, MATURITY
DATA AND INTERPRETATION PACKAGES

GEOTRACK has extensive experience, data and interpretative results concerning the thermal, structural and hydrocarbon source rock maturation histories of the Gippsland Basin region, with particular expertise in wells within the available V99-2 acreage. In 1997 Geotrack carried out a study on the neighbouring area shown on the map as Vic/P42 for inclusion in the Victorian Government's data release package. This study, Geotrack Report #659, included thermal, burial and maturation modelling on the Omeo-1 well and a key pseudo-well located in the basin depocentre.

For the current acreage release round, Geotrack plan to produce a new report specifically directed towards AREA V99-2. The study includes AFTA^® data for the Anemone-1(1A) (in V99-2) and Angler-1 (in Vic/P34) wells originally collected as a part of two thermal history studies for Petrofina, completed in 1989 and 1990. These data have been re-interpreted and enhanced for the new report available in July 1999. Other wells included in the new study are Archer-1, Mudskipper-1, Hermes-1, Moray-1, Helios-1, Ayu-1 and a key pseudo well.
